Laura Hicks Bio

Laura Hicks is the site editor for DigitalCameraReview, where she reports on and tests the latest digital camera technology, accessories and systems. As the editor, Laura maintains close contact with manufacturers and vendors of camera equipment to keep up with the latest trends and developments. She also collaborates with professional photographers and users who provide a real-world perspective on new and emerging technology and produce 'real world' reviews and evaluations of a range of digital camera products. To keep up with the latest trends, Laura attends major trade shows and industry events, including Consumer Electronics Show, Imaging USA, and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention.

Laura is an avid photographer. She has spent the last decade as a professional portrait photographer. She was even chosen as the official photographer for the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show in West Chester, Ohio. In her spare time Laura loves to travel. With her husband and two sons by her side she has traveled throughout the United States, where her favorite times have been spent at the national parks across the country. Laura also has a heart for children. For the last several years she and her husband have been licensed foster parents who have taken in a multitude of children in need of a stable environment.
